Paramount Pictures Secures Major Film Financing Deal with Domain Capital Group
2025-02-07

A landmark financial collaboration has been established between Paramount Pictures and Domain Capital Group, a private investment management firm. This strategic partnership will finance a minimum of 30 films across diverse genres and budget ranges, including anticipated releases like a modern take on "The Smurfs Movie," a reboot of the classic comedy "The Naked Gun," Glen Powell's action-packed "The Running Man," and Jack Quaid's thrilling "Novocaine." The agreement offers the potential to expand to up to 40 films under specific conditions.

The leadership at Domain Capital Group, headed by Managing Director Pete Chiappetta, has expressed enthusiasm for this venture. Previously, Domain had collaborated with Paramount on projects such as "Gladiator II" and "Sonic the Hedgehog 3." In addition to its work with Paramount, Domain also entered into a significant co-financing deal with Warner Bros. Motion Picture Group in 2023, contributing to the success of "Barbie," one of the year's top-grossing films. Domain’s commitment to entertainment is further evidenced by its establishment of a $700 million fund dedicated to media and entertainment ventures in 2022. This new pact comes amid changes within Paramount Global, as Skydance and RedBird Capital prepare to finalize their acquisition of the company.

This partnership signifies a promising future for both Paramount Pictures and Domain Capital Group. With a shared vision of delivering high-quality content, both entities aim to create value for investors while enhancing their film libraries. As Paramount continues to produce world-class entertainment, this collaboration sets the stage for a long-term relationship built on mutual respect and innovation, ultimately benefiting audiences worldwide.
