Chestertown MD - The Shoremen baseball team is all set to make a comeback on Saturday, February 15, with a road contest against Marymount University. This marks the beginning of an exciting journey as they aim to improve on their previous season's performance.

Last Season's Highlights
In the 2024 campaign, the Shoremen faced various challenges but also showed moments of promise. They finished with a record of 10-29 overall and a 5-13 Centennial Conference record. Despite the setbacks, they managed to split series with Conference opponents like Swarthmore, Ursinus, and Franklin and Marshall. Additionally, they completed a sweep of Muhlenberg to end the season on a high note.The individual performances of key players like Will Turner, Zach Stolze, Nico DiGrazio, and Matt Bishop were notable. Turner scored 38 runs and had 18 RBI on 126 at bats. Stolze contributed 28 runs and 38 RBI on 140 at bats. DiGrazio pitched 46 innings with an ERA of 6.07. Bishop had an ERA of 6.75 in 38 innings and a 3-1 record.Coach's Perspective

The Shoremen will embark on a journey to Florida in March. Their first game is against Franciscian on 3/9, followed by their final game of the trip on 3/15 against Theil. These games will provide valuable experience and a chance to test their skills against different opponents.Centennial Conference play begins for the Shoremen on March 29 when they host Ursinus. This will be a crucial test of their abilities as they aim to make their mark in the conference. Their final game of the season will be a home duel with Gettysburg on April 26.Each game holds significance as the Shoremen strive to build on their strengths and overcome their weaknesses.
