Fantasy Football Start 'Em: Week 15 Wide Receivers
Jaylen Waddle, Miami Dolphins (@ Houston Texans)After a challenging 10-week stretch between Weeks 2 and 11, Waddle's performance is on the rise again. He has exceeded 50 receiving yards in three consecutive games, even on that freezing cold night in Green Bay. In the past three weeks, he has recorded more than seven receptions in two of them. In Week 15, he will face a Texans defense that is quite lenient when it comes to giving up fantasy points to wide receivers. Houston has allowed the sixth-most points to receivers throughout the season, the fourth-most in the last four weeks, and the third-most in the last two.Keenan Allen, Chicago Bears (@ Minnesota Vikings)Similar to Waddle, Allen faced difficulties in the earlier part of the season but has seen his production increase in recent weeks. Before a tough matchup against the stingy 49ers' defense, Allen had two consecutive games with more than 70 receiving yards and a touchdown. The good news is that in a divisional game against the Vikings, his productive streak should resume. Despite the great work of defensive coordinator Brian Flores with Minnesota's defense this year, the Vikings have been a favorable matchup for wide receivers all season.Jauan Jennings, San Francisco 49ers (vs. Los Angeles Rams)With Aiyuk out, Jennings has stepped into the clear No. 1 receiver role for San Francisco and is making the most of it. He has recorded at least five catches in four of his five games since the 49ers' Week 9 bye and tallied over 90 yards in three of those games. He also had a two-touchdown day in Week 14. Moreover, he gets to face the Rams ahead, a team that gave up 201 yards to the Bills' top two receivers last week.Fantasy Football Sit 'Em: Week 15 Wide Receivers
Jayden Reed, Green Bay Packers (@ Seattle Seahawks)Reed's season has been filled with ups and downs, which is not ideal for the most important fantasy football games. After a one-target, zero-catch performance against the Lions, he has not recorded more than three catches in any of the Packers' four games since their Week 10 bye. This week, he and Green Bay will face a Seahawks passing defense that has been one of the toughest in the last month. It's not a recipe for success for Reed, who is already a volatile option.Keon Coleman, Buffalo Bills (@ Detroit Lions)Coleman is likely to make his return from a nagging wrist injury in Week 15 after being a game-time decision last week. Although quarterback Josh Allen had a historic performance, the rookie wide receiver is better off being stashed for now as he gets back into shape. Allen's trust in top options Amari Cooper and Khalil Shakir is growing every week, and Coleman could be the odd one out. On top of that, he and the Bills are facing a Lions defensive unit that has been one of the strongest against the pass in the last four weeks. Detroit's defense has allowed the third-fewest EPA/play and the second-lowest success rate on dropbacks during this period.Michael Pittman Jr., Indianapolis Colts (@ Denver Broncos)Pittman is another option that is too volatile to start in a season that demands consistency from fantasy football wide receivers. He has found the end zone just twice all season and zero times in his last six games. He had at least five catches in three games leading up to the bye, but he only exceeded 50 yards once in those three games. Ultimately, Pittman's volatile production depends on the whims of his equally volatile quarterback, Anthony Richardson. It's hard to rely too much on either against a Denver defense that has been strong against the pass all season, except for Jerry Jeudy's revenge game.Looking for more fantasy football advice?
