On Nov. 24, Taiwan achieved a remarkable feat by topping Japan 4-0 and winning the World Baseball Softball Confederation's (WBSC) Premier12 Championship for the first time. This victory is not just a sports achievement but a source of pride for Taiwanese people. It showcases the talent and determination of the Taiwanese baseball team on the international stage.
The significance of this win extends beyond sports. It represents a milestone in Taiwan's history and a testament to the island's cultural and sporting prowess. It has brought the entire nation together in celebration, with people from all walks of life expressing their joy and support.
The parade is set to start at 3:20 p.m. from the intersection of Ketagalan Boulevard and Gongyuan Rd. It will then make its way through Xiangyang Rd. and Taiwan's "Canyon of Heroes" along Guanqian Rd., where paper flowers will be released to honor the team. This symbolic gesture adds a touch of grandeur to the event.
After passing through these areas, the parade will turn left to the south side of Sect. 1 of Zhongxiao West Rd. and then shift left to Sec. 1 of Chongqing South Rd. Finally, it will arrive at the Presidential Office, marking the culmination of this historic celebration.
To ensure that as many people as possible can participate in this joyous occasion, eight tents will be set up along the route to distribute small "Team Taiwan" flags and national flags exclusively for the parade. This allows fans to show their support and be a part of the celebration.
Those who are unable to attend the event in person can still watch it live on YouTube. The GACC has made arrangements to provide live streaming, ensuring that the spirit of the victory parade reaches every corner of the island and beyond. More information about the event is available on the GACC's social media platforms.
