Kim Clijsters, a former world No. 1 in both singles and doubles, has an impressive record with four Grand Slam singles titles and two Grand Slam doubles wins. She was an active professional from 1997 until 2022, taking breaks from 2007-2009 and 2012-2020. Her return to the tennis scene is highly anticipated.
Martina Hingis, on the other hand, had an exceptional career in her own right. She is a prolific champion across singles, doubles and mixed doubles, winning 25 Grand Slam titles in total. In 1996, she became the youngest Grand Slam champion ever when she won the Wimbledon doubles title at 15 years and 9 months old. Between 1996 and 2000, she won 13 Grand Slam titles and became the youngest world No. 1 ever in both singles and doubles.
The tournament will be from Feb. 1-9, 2025, giving tennis fans a full week of thrilling tennis action. It is set to be a memorable event that will showcase the best of women's tennis.
Both Clijsters and Hingis have expressed their excitement about participating in the Women's Tennis Classic.
