Opening the Paul Mainieri Era in Columbia

On Friday, Feb. 14, the Gamecocks will kick off the Paul Mainieri era in Columbia with a Valentine's Day matinee against Sacred Heart. This three-game set with the Pioneers sets the tone for the season. Following this, a pair of midweek games at Winthrop on Feb. 18 and a home game against Queens on Feb. 19 provide additional opportunities for the team to fine-tune their skills. Then comes a three-game home series against Milwaukee from Feb. 21 to 23, allowing fans to witness the team's prowess up close. Carolina continues the home stretch with a game against Gardner-Webb on Feb. 25, followed by the highly anticipated Clemson series. The Saturday game will be played at Fluor Field in Greenville, adding a touch of excitement, and Sunday's game will be held in Founders Park.

Midweek Doubleheader and Morehead State

The second double midweek of the season features a home date against Davidson on March 4 and a road contest at The Citadel on March 5. These games add variety to the team's schedule and test their mettle. After that, Carolina takes on Morehead State from March 7 to 9 in Columbia. The team will face different opponents and playing conditions, preparing them for the challenges ahead.

Neutral Non-Conference Contests

Carolina will have a pair of neutral non-conference contests away from Columbia in Minor League stadiums. On Tuesday, March 18, the Gamecocks face the College of Charleston at Segra Park in Columbia, home of the Columbia Fireflies. This game offers a unique experience for both teams and fans. Then, on Tuesday, March 25, they face North Carolina at Truist Field in Charlotte. These neutral site games add an extra layer of excitement and competition to the schedule.

Home Midweek Contests

Carolina will have several home midweek contests throughout the season. Against Georgia State on March 12, Presbyterian on April 1, USC Upstate on April 8, The Citadel on April 15, North Florida on April 22, Charleston Southern on April 29, and Winthrop on May 13, the team will have the opportunity to showcase their skills in front of their home fans. These games are crucial for building team morale and preparing for the SEC schedule.Carolina announced its 30-game SEC schedule in September, which starts March 14 vs. Oklahoma. All game times are subject to change when the television schedule is announced at the beginning of 2025.
