Background and Career Highlights

Cameron Cook's journey to becoming an assistant coach at Brevard College is a remarkable one. After an outstanding four-year career as a well-rounded student-athlete at the college, he is now ready to take on his new role. During his playing days, he competed in 42 games and made 20 starts as a pitcher, showcasing his skills and dedication.He was named to the USA South Conference’s All-Sportsmanship Team in 2024, a testament to his character and sportsmanship. As a junior in 2023, he played a crucial role in helping Brevard earn its first postseason wins in the program’s NCAA-era history. In 2022 as a sophomore, he went 4-2 with six starts in 12 appearances.

Coaching Experience and Community Involvement

Cook's coaching experience extends beyond his time at Brevard College. He has served as a head baseball coach for Stuart Cramer Junior League Baseball in Belmont, North Carolina, where he has honed his coaching skills and developed young players. He has also worked as a baseball instructor for Kinetic Drive, a player and team development program in Lowell, North Carolina.In the community, he has been a volunteer at the Cindy Platt Boys and Girls Club of Transylvania County, giving back and making a positive impact. On the Brevard College campus, he has served as a resident advisor, demonstrating his leadership skills and commitment to the college community.

Educational Background and Future Plans

Cook is a native of Mount Holly, North Carolina and graduated from Stuart Cramer High School. At Brevard College, he was a three-time Dean’s List performer and is set to graduate in December with a bachelor of arts in physical education with teacher licensure as well as a bachelor of arts in exercise science. His educational background and diverse experiences make him a well-rounded and valuable asset to the coaching staff.Looking ahead, Cook is eager to continue to contribute to the growth and improvement of the Brevard College baseball program. He is excited to work with the players and help them reach their full potential on and off the field.
