2024-12-13
The following is an extract from the latest edition of Yahoo's fantasy football newsletter. Fantasy managers often face anxiety when it comes to start-sit questions, especially during playoff weeks. This traffic-light report is here to assist you in getting ready for Week 15.

Navigating Fantasy Football with Yahoo's Insights

Green Light

QB Sam Darnold vs. Bears: Only 52% of Yahoo leagues are starting him as of Friday morning. Darnold has been highly consistent as a pocket quarterback, with multiple touchdown passes in 10 starts and a QB rating over 100 in 11 different weeks. He previously torched the respected Chicago secondary, amassing 330 yards three weeks ago. Additionally, Jordan Addison should also be started while in Minnesota.

WR Calvin Ridley vs. Bengals: Since the DeAndre Hopkins trade, Ridley has been dominating the targets. The Bengals rank 30th in pass defense DVOA. Despite erratic Will Levis throwing the passes, Ridley has a good chance of getting home in Week 15.

Yellow Light

QB Jameis Winston vs. Chiefs: Don't worry too much about the opponent as the Chiefs' passing defense is just average. When the Browns typically abandon the running game, Winston is likely to throw 40 or more passes. He has beaten his projection in 5 out of 6 starts this year and can do it again.

RB Alvin Kamara vs. Commanders: He is probably too active and good to be benched. However, he has only one touchdown in his past nine starts, and an inexperienced quarterback could derail the offense. If you have a surprise star like Zach Charbonnet, Kamara might be benchable.

Red Light

QB Jordan Love at Seahawks: The Green Bay offense has shifted towards the running game, and Love is not a strong scrambler. He is facing the Seahawks at a bad time as their defense has been strong since the Week 10 bye, allowing only 296 yards per week and six takeaways. It is unlikely that Love will get a second touchdown pass on Sunday.

WR Michael Pittman Jr. at Broncos: He has yet to show chemistry with Anthony Richardson, with a poor rating of 59.4 when Richardson targets him. Patrick Surtain II, a cover ace, is likely to mark Pittman throughout the game.
