SWB RailRiders Host Breakfast with Santa in Off-Season

MOOSIC, LACKAWANNA CO. (WOLF) — Families gathered at PNC field, not for a baseball game but for a special event. The Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders hosted their annual Breakfast with Santa, and it was a day filled with joy and togetherness.

Bringing Community Together

During the baseball season, fans have the opportunity to enjoy RailRiders games 75 times a year. However, the team is not just a part of the community during the season. Off-season events like the Breakfast with Santa constantly bring people together. Over 700 attendees indulged in a variety of breakfast foods, engaged in fun crafts, listened to story time, and received presents from Santa himself. Adam Marco, the director of communications for the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders, emphasized, "We are a part of this community all year round, and events like this help strengthen those bonds."

Champ's Santa Outfit

The team's mascot, Champ, also got into the holiday spirit by sporting a Santa outfit. As guests arrived, Champ greeted them with a smile, adding to the festive atmosphere. It was a sight that brought smiles to the faces of both children and adults alike.

Opening day for the RailRiders is April 9th, and the team starts their preparations right after Christmas. This shows their dedication to providing a great baseball experience for their fans.
