Hosted by the Mulerider Baseball Team
This year's camp will once again be expertly hosted and conducted by the dedicated coaching staff and players of the Mulerider Baseball program. It will feature special instruction sessions delivered by current members of the 2024 St. Louis Cardinals, including assistant coach/bullpen coach Jamie Pogue and current St. Louis Cardinals pitcher Kyle Leahy. The enthusiasm of the Mulerider Athletics team is palpable as they express their excitement about continuing this partnership with the Magnolia A&P Commission to offer this unique camp experience. It truly is an awesome day for the youth in South Arkansas and the surrounding regions. The campers get the chance to learn from not only Jamie and Kyle but also from the entire coaching staff and players of Mulerider Baseball. SAU Director of Athletics Steve Browning couldn't be more grateful to Coach Justin Pettigrew, Jamie, and Kyle for providing this incredible opportunity to the kids in the area. He encourages parents to bring their children to the camp, allowing them to engage in an unforgettable experience.Baseball Skills and Beyond
The camp not only focuses on enhancing baseball skills but also serves as a platform for the instructors to impart valuable life lessons through motivational talks. The importance of education and physical wellness is emphasized, showing the character and commitment of both the guests and Mulerider Baseball. This camp is a testament to their willingness to serve the community and make a positive impact. The coaching staff and players go above and beyond in sharing their knowledge and expertise, ensuring that the campers leave with not only improved baseball abilities but also a newfound sense of motivation and purpose.Building a Lasting Impact
The experience offered at this camp is truly one-of-a-kind. The interaction between the campers and the professional baseball instructors creates an environment that is both educational and fun. The coaches take the time to understand each camper's individual needs and abilities, providing personalized instruction that helps them grow as players. Moreover, the motivational talks about education and physical wellness instill important values in the campers that will stay with them long after the camp ends. This event is not just about baseball; it's about shaping the future of these young athletes and helping them become well-rounded individuals. It is a privilege to be a part of such an important initiative and witness the transformation that takes place during these few hours at Goodheart Field.
