The Wildcats faced a formidable challenge in their opening match against the University of Delaware, dropping all 12 contests. While the majority of the singles matches were decided in straight sets, the team's resilience shone through, with Josh Vestal pushing his opponent to a third-set tiebreaker before ultimately falling 6-1, 6-7 (10), 10-1. Freshmen Cameron Kruep, Jack Sherner, and Evan Ancu also secured singles victories in the fourth, sixth, and seventh flights, respectively.
